The Experience

A five star curated journey through the heart of Provence, where the past and present co-exist in harmony, reminding us of the eternal nature of beauty.

Our Six Day Seven Night Provence Itinerary

We will visit places that you will not find in guidebooks, traveling through the Luberon Valley and beyond to explore beautiful hilltop villages, vibrant local markets and breathtaking scenes. Your six day, seven night itinerary includes unique places from the best picnic spots to scenic restaurants serving outstanding Provencal cuisine.

Day 1:  It’s Sunday!  We will visit the market at L’Isle Sur la Sorgue, the antique center of the South of France and its bustling market where you can find everything from a Louis XIII armoire to freshly picked olives.

Day 2:  We will explore our village of Roussillon and travel to Gordes, two of the most beautiful villages of France. Just outside of Gordes we will visit the Abbaye de Senanque, the Cistercian monastery founded in 1148, and remain for evening vespers, sung by the monks for close to 1,000 years.

Day 3:  We will travel to Avignon, a walled medieval city that hosted the popes for half a century.  The city’s historic center is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.

Day 4:  Aix-en-Provence - En route to “Aix”we will stop at the Chateau Lacoste vineyard and explore its magnificent outdoor Art & Architecture Walk displaying the works of many of the greatest artists of our time. Arriving at Aix-en-Provence we will explore the city of a thousand fountains. It is here that Cezanne, the father of modern art, live and worked and you can trace his footsteps throughout the city.

Day 5:  Arles - Arles is a Roman city, complete with a Roman Amphitheater and Colosseum. Vincent Van Gogh spent his most creative period here, creating over 300 paintings and drawings. Today Arles is home to the Luma Foundation, dedicated to supporting contemporary artistic creation, and the setting for Frank Gehry’s latest architectural masterpiece.

Day 6:  St. Saturnin-les-Apt - Tucked away in this small village, we will visit a hidden hotel and restaurant that you won’t find in tourist guides, in a setting that will take your breath away. We will dine at the restaurant and tour their incredible organic farm that supplies the chef daily with fresh picked produce.

New Chapter-Travel

Step into this magical world of Provence with me. As an American I fell in love with French culture and art and have led hundreds of life-long learners to rediscover their most vibrant, empowered, and heart-opened selves in the transformative embrace of Provence.

Now, I am writing my own new chapter and I invite you to join me on yours.

After the loss of my husband, partner, and best friend of over 40 years, I decided to leave New Jersey and my not-for-profit arts foundation to move to Maui, Hawaii to be part of my new granddaughter’s life. Moving to Maui and leaving everything familiar and comfortable behind, I struggled with grief to find renewed meaning and purpose.  I turned towards my happy place - Provence - where I have led hundreds of students of all ages on transformative journeys.

Of all my work, it is my time in Provence and the people I brought there that brought me the most joy.  Now I am looking to share that experience of wonder and beauty with seekers of all ages.

I invite you to come home to yourself in Provence. Write your own new chapter with me, with transformative travel designed to inspire growth, creativity and meaningful connections. I look forward to our time together.

And There’s More.

Hidden Gem Destinations

Chandri’s experience bringing travelers to Provence means you will get an “insider’s” view of the region, and meet the secret Provence that you won’t find in tour guides.

  • Travel arrangements: Where do I fly into? Can you help with travel arrangements?
If you wish, I can put you in touch with our travel agent to help make travel arrangements. I recommend flying into Paris and taking the high speed TGV train to Avignon. It is a 3 hour beautiful ride through the French countryside. The second alternative is to fly directly into Marseille and hopping on a bus to Avignon. Travel from your home city to our meeting place in Avignon is not included. Travel from Avignon to our villa is provided.
  • What about my appliances - hair dryer, etc?
Remember that France is on 220 v, not 110 v as in the United States. All appliances must be dual voltage (many travel hair dryers are), or you will require an adapter or voltage converter. You will also need a plug adapter to fit into French electric sockets. These are inexpensive and can be easily found on Amazon.
  • What clothing should I bring? What is the temperature?
The temperature in Provence in June is usually between 76 degrees Fahrenheit and 84 degrees. The most important thing to bring is comfortable shoes. We will be walking on cobblestone streets and visiting sites that are 2,000 years old. You might want to bring a dress or two for outings. Your summer wardrobe is appropriate with a light jacket or shawl for evenings. Don’t forget a bathing suit!
  • Can you make arrangements for special dietary requirements?
We are sensitive to special dietary needs and will make every effort to meet yours. An intake form will be sent to you asking questions about diet and other potential special needs.
